A journey through the rise, fall and recovery of the Plantation Garden – a restored Victorian Garden on Earlham Road, now run by the Plantation Garden Preservation Trust. Accompanied by images, the talk will explore the earliest roots of the garden from the Elizabethan bequest of the land and its use before the creation of the garden in 1857, though its heyday and decline into wilderness and then the foundation of the Trust and restoration of the garden visitors enjoy today.
