Book Club Reviews

The Norwich Society book club meets during the winter months from October to April. Meetings are every six weeks in the Jex Room at the Assembly House. The Group discusses pre-selected books about elements of Norwich history. After each meeting a review of the books read is listed here.

At the last meeting on Wednesday 16th January 2019 group members discussed Tombland by Sansom and other texts about Kett’s Rebellion. A review will be posted here once available.

The next meeting is on February 27th at 2.30pm and the primary text is The Welcome Stranger (Dutch, Walloon and Huguenot incomers to Norwich 1550-1750), by Frank Meeres. You are invited to track down your own secondary sources.

Further meetings will be held on on 27th February and 10th April 2019.

New members are always welcome. If you are interested in joining the group please email Kala Nobbs.
