ADAPTING OUR CITY FOR CLIMATE CHANGE: A City-Wide Business and Community Conference

We are delighted in invite you to attend ADAPTING OUR CITY FOR CLIMATE CHANGE:  A City-Wide Business and Community Conference.

The Norwich Society, with over a century of dedication to preserving the beauty, history and character of Norwich, invites you to be part of a pivotal event addressing one of the greatest challenges of our time: climate change.  

As part of our Climate Change strategy, we are collaborating with the City Council, academic institutions and the business community, to understand the impact of climate change on our City, and how we can prepare for and mitigate its effects on our community and built heritage.

This event is designed to bring these groups together to explore practical solutions, share best practices, and identify future opportunities to create a sustainable future for Norwich. With a focus on the built environment, the conference will cover crucial topics such as:  

• the evolving low-carbon regulatory framework  

• sustainable development strategies  

• innovations in building products

• sustainable retrofit of existing properties

Highlights of the day:
• Event speakers: gain insights from leading figures from the City Council, Norwich Climate Commission, Norfolk Chamber of Commerce and sustainable construction experts.
• Interactive Q&A sessions: Bridget McKenzie, founding director of Climate Museum UK and Culture Declares Emergency, will facilitate engaging Q&A sessions to encourage  active participation and ideas-sharing.
• Networking opportunities: Connect with up to 120 delegates from Norwich’s business and political communities, fostering collaboration and new partnerships.
• Exhibition of green building products.
